Kforce has a client that is seeking a Reliability Engineer in Redwood City, CA. The client is looking for a consultant who can help our client with the following deliverables: * High-Level Deliverables for Contract Duration with Estimated Sizing * (Small) Remediate all known policy violations within existing Docker build images * Build image: 2 high, 4 medium, 32 low severity issues related to dependencies * Requires knowledge of Docker, tangential comfort with Rust software *(Small) Remediate all known policy violations within existing AWS infrastructure * Multiple issues related to outdated dependencies, requires Kubernetes/AWS knowledge * (Large) Evaluate current OpenSearch solution against central shared client resource for cost and performance. Migrate onto shared resources or optimize and right-size existing solutions for projected player growth * Requires handling of SSO with EntraID, familiarity with AWS, ELK/OpenSearch technologies * (Medium) Assist in scaling backend AWS services to accommodate expected growth of player numbers, from million concurrent players to multi-millions, requires Kubernetes/AWS knowledge * Additionally, the contractor needs to be able to manage costs of existing infrastructure such that a service increase is not a flat 1:1 cost increase to the business * Review existing AWS infrastructure for structural improvements, such as migration off of spot instances and AWS image sizes * (Large) Transition off of DataDog and onto our client's internal Grafana offerings * Requires knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, Grafana, OpenSearch/ELK * Needs to be able to set up dashboards for monitoring of server infrastructure * Needs to be able to document hand-off long term support of the solution after the contract end date
