Site Manager

Role Overview:

Our client, an established company operating in the construction sector, is seeking a Site Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising on-site construction activities, with a strong focus on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, ensuring projects are delivered according to technical specifications, deadlines, and budget requirements.

Location: Budapest, Hungary

Key Responsibilities:

Manage construction projects involving MEP installations from planning to completion; Coordinate and lead site implementation teams; Optimize resource allocation across project stages; Monitor and control project timelines to prevent delays and cost overruns; Ensure adherence to contractual deadlines and quality standards; Supervise work execution and verify compliance with technical specifications and client expectations; Maintain effective communication with internal teams, subcontractors, designers, and clients; Identify and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle; Analyze and interpret project documentation (technical drawings, sketches, and specifications) and understand the interaction between MEP systems; Provide technical solutions in case of conflicts between disciplines and validate MEP-related design issues; Evaluate technical proposals and assist in budgeting and justifying MEP-related changes; Oversee the installation of MEP systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements; Coordinate, monitor, and control subcontractor activities related to MEP works; Manage site logistics and technical documentation related to MEP systems; Liaise with consultants, inspectors, and relevant authorities; Ensure MEP subcontractors comply with current quality and safety regulations; Assist in testing, commissioning, and acceptance of MEP equipment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Civil Engineering, Building Services, Polytechnic University); Proven experience in civil construction or fit-out projects, preferably in a supervisory role; Strong knowledge of materials and MEP installation techniques; Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite; Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership skills; Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and results-focused; Demonstrated experience in successfully managing commercial construction and/or fit-out projects.
