We are seeking a Site Lead for a new bioanalytical laboratory in the GoCo area of Gothenburg, Sweden.

As Site Lead you will oversee all aspects of management of a new bioanalytical laboratory, including laboratory set up, operational management, commercial development and staffing. You will ensure productivity, efficiency and quality of the work are maintained and financial objectives of the business are achieved. You will oversee the development and implementation of 
laboratory systems and processes and ensures client deliverables and needs are met.
 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily operations in the laboratory to ensure compliance with 
company SOPs, policies and client timelines and deliverables.Directs work responsibilities of group leaders/research scientists. Provides mentorship, guidance and development to laboratory management and research & development team.Interacts extensively with sponsors and internal laboratory/support management/research scientists to ensure client deliverables and needs are met. Procures and allocates personnel, analytical instrumentation, Information 
Technology, space and other resources to appropriate areas based on business 
need.Supports laboratory department in method/instrumentation troubleshooting, 
laboratory investigations and internal/external conflict resolution.Collaborates globally to foster cooperation and understanding among the 
different functional groups within the division.Oversees the development and implementation of laboratory systems and processes.Establishes operating policies & procedures that affect departments and subordinate sections of work units. Interprets company-wide policies and procedures.Develops budgets, schedules, and performance standards.Interacts frequently with internal and external management and senior-level 
customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and / or contractual clarifications.Leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
 

Qualifications: 
Education and Experience: 
 

10+ years relevant experience including experience in bioanalytical laboratories.5+ years of management responsibilityIdeally experience within a new laboratory setting would be preferableProven leadership skills
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Thorough knowledge of GMP, GCP or GLPStrong bioanalytical technical expertiseExperience in lab set up – equipment procurement, utilities set up, etcIn-depth knowledge of clinical laboratory science, ICH guidelines, FDA regulations concerning clinical labs processes in drug development process, method development, method validation, R&D, sample production and/or data processingStrong leadership skills including budgeting, forecasting and fiscal managementStrong commercial/Business acumen and ability to interact with clients dailyProject and time management skillsExcellent communication/interpersonal skills including presentation skillsDemonstrated strategic planning skillsIn-depth global and cultural awarenessStrong organizational agility and demonstrated drive for resultsExcellent coaching and mentoring skills
