Job Description

GDIT is seeking a full-time Site Lead Solutions Engineer to support our Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) program located at Ft. Meade, MD.

As a Site Lead Solutions Engineer, on both the unclassified and classified environments, you will be responsible for providing business, technical, architectural, and engineering guidance to development teams, business groups, and customers for existing and new products and services, as as well as directing day-to-day activities assigned to your areas of responsibility, leveraging direct and indirect team resources for the ICAM solution. This position also develops strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities in conjunction with the solutions architect that maximize customer value while differentiating GDIT from their competition in the marketplace. This will also include but not limited to technical plans, drawings, white papers, analysis briefs, and leading and advising technical meetings with both internal and external stakeholders. Your expertise will be relied upon to provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders and will serve as a trusted SME to support the customer during technical engagements. Responsibilities may also include for defining, designing, and implementing the full lifecycle of products and services. You may also be required to collaboratively conduct analysis of alternatives to support decisions in selecting the best solutions to support overall business goals and objectives. 

HOW A SITE LEAD SOLUTIONS ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

·       Work with senior leadership, both internal and customer, on planning and executing tasks  

·       Act as Site Lead

·       Participate in Scrum meetings.

·       Engage with the program customer, providing expert guidance and solutions 

·       Develop plans, drawings, and briefs 

·       Support the business by developing technical and business solutions 

·       Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzing alternatives based on trade space, and implementing designs 

·       Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and propose changes and tailoring where needed 

·       Assess the business process architectures currently in place and work with staff to recommend improvements 

·       Ensure technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives 

·       Develop, enhance, and maintain established service design procedures and processes by applying process frameworks and methodologies 

·       Prepare and present test plans, technical presentations, and analyst briefings 

·       Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives, and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform, and network configurations 

·       Provide updates to internal and external stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives 

·       Provide expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues 

·       May serve as a task or project leader (Not a people manager) 

·       Recognized a trusted technical leader 

·       Serves as the site lead for the collocated team

·       Remains flexible to support other tasks as assigned in support of company, program, and customer scope and goals

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – REQUIRED:

CITIZENSHIP: US Citizen

CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain an active Secret clearance (active Interim Secret to start)

CERTIFICATION(S):

Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification, or higher 

Active Computing Environmental certification (CE) in job related duties, such as: Microsoft Azure Cloud, Microsoft Platform Solution Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Okta Certification, etc.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in related field, OR equivalent work experience in lieu of degree

YEAR'S EXPERIENCE:

15+ years of IT experience in engineering and development 

8+ years experience in solutions engineering in Microsoft and/or other software development or implementation 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Proven experience solutioning large-scale government or DoD capabilities

Able to advise Senior Leadership on current and future capabilities

Proven experience performing as a Solutions Architect

LOCATION: Onsite in Ft. Meade, Maryland

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED – DESIRED:

CLEARANCE: Ability to obtain an active Secret clearance (Interim Secret to start)

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Extensive experience in creating secure architecture solutions for DoD cloud environments 

Experience with SailPoint, Radiant Logic, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft ADFS, CyberArk, Okta a plus

Experience working in a fast-paced Agile environment
