The Engineering Site Infrastructure Lead is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all site infrastructure activities throughout the lifecycle of engineering and construction for the Greenfield Project. This role ensures that all infrastructure systems - such as utilities, access roads, temporary facilities, site services, and enabling works - are designed, installed, and maintained in accordance with project requirements, regulatory standards, and best practices. The Site Infrastructure Lead acts as the primary interface between engineering, construction, and external stakeholders for all infrastructure-related matters.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Infrastructure Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive site infrastructure plans, including utilities (water, power, gas), roads, drainage, site access, and temporary facilities.Design Coordination: Work closely with engineering teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure infrastructure designs align with overall project objectives and site constraints.Project Execution: Oversee the delivery of all infrastructure works, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget targets are met.Stakeholder Management: Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, contractors, and internal stakeholders to coordinate permits, approvals, and service connections.Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with site infrastructure, including environmental, safety, and operational challenges.Compliance: Ensure all infrastructure activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.Resource Management: Manage site infrastructure teams, contractors, and resources to optimize performance and ensure timely delivery.Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of infrastructure activities, progress, and issues. Prepare regular status reports for project management and senior leadership.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to infrastructure processes, systems, and practices to enhance site efficiency and project outcomes.Health, Safety & Environment: Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and environmental stewardship in all infrastructure activities.Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in site infrastructure management within large-scale engineering or construction projects.In-depth knowledge of infrastructure systems, construction methods, and regulatory requirements.Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Proficiency in relevant engineering and project management software.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.Fluency in German and English; additional languages such as French, or Dutch is a plus.
