Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic HR Business Partner to lead and develop the Human Resources function at our Software Development site in Mechelen, supporting approximately 120 associates.
This role will serve as a key partner to site leadership and stakeholders, driving HR initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee experience.
This role reports to Europe HR Director and requires office presence 4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with people leaders and key stakeholders to implement impactful HR strategies that support business success.
Lead innovation and continuous improvement projects aimed at elevating quality standards and optimizing effectiveness across the entire associate lifecycle—from recruitment to offboarding.
Represent the organization in labor and contract negotiations, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and fostering constructive employee relations.
Provide coaching and counseling to managers and associates, supporting performance management, development, and engagement.
Drive training programs, talent development initiatives, and employee engagement activities aligned with business needs.
Apply broad HR expertise across all functional areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, and compliance.
Coordinate payroll operations through oversight of one payroll consultant.
Actively contribute to the European HR team, supporting cross-country initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR Business Partner roles, ideally within a multinational, matrixed organization.
Strong knowledge of local labor law and core HR fundamentals.
Proven experience and mindset as a strategic HR Business Partner.
Profficient in Dutch and English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead change and influence others.
High emotional intelligence and empathy to support a thriving HR function on site.
