The Boeing Company is looking for a Site Facilities Manager to join our team in Palmdale, CA.
The Site Facilities Manager will lead and manage all facets of USAF Plant 42, Site 1, Palmdale, CA facilities operations. This role is essential to oversee activities across facilities operations, planning, analysis, project and property administration, engineering, construction, plant and equipment maintenance, to support Boeing’s operational excellence and sustain the integrity of the Palmdale site infrastructure.
The Site Facilities Manager will be responsible for safety and quality, EPA compliance, developing and executing comprehensive project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, and establishing clear operational goals to ensure efficient and effective facility management. This position will be responsible for acquiring necessary resources, providing technical management and oversight of suppliers, and driving continuous process improvements to optimize facility performance. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, business partners, and direct reports is vital to this role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer requirements.
They will also participate in critical equipment make/buy decisions, source selection, and provide technical oversight to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. By managing, developing, and motivating a skilled team, this position will ensure the Palmdale site’s facilities support Boeing’s mission-critical operations, enabling safe, high quality, reliable, and efficient production and maintenance activities. This leadership role is indispensable for maintaining Boeing’s competitive advantage and operational readiness at the Palmdale site.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employee activities within the facilities occupation including facilities planning, analysis, project administration, property administration, facilities provisioning, engineering, construction and Plant & Equipment maintenance
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Participates in equipment make/buy decisions; participates in source selection and provides technical oversight of suppliers
Manages, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with facility maintenance management and execution
3+ years of experience leading or managing large or complex teams of managers and/or non-management employees
Experience leading teams through implementing process improvements and standardized processes
Experience in problem solving and improvement projects
Manufacturing experience driving facility improvements across safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and people on production and development programs
Experience developing and/or managing facility project schedules and budgets
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant facilities field
Experience developing strategic long range business plans
Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders
Experience using MS Office Suite
Experience in change management
Experience in facilities engineering

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $115,600 – $156,400
