Site Facilities Manager

We currently have an opportunity for a Site Facilities Manager.  Join our Base and Estate Management team and play a key role in supporting the Estate Upkeep and Land Management Service Delivery and oversee the operational implementation of maintenance services. The Site FM will also be responsible for the service delivery of Downer’s internal workforce and subcontractors across the base services area sites as required and will liaise with relevant managers and other stakeholders across operational area during preparation and scheduling of Performance Based, Scheduled and Responsive Maintenance works. Reporting to the EMOS Operations Manager, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.

 

What You’ll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

Regularly supervise site facilities and assess maintenance requirements for all service lines.Attend property inspections and identify defects and non-compliances with the lease/license agreement.Report maintenance requirements and seek to rectify as required, and handle day-to-day general maintenance issues.Coordinate service delivery of tradespeople across all sites, including those outside of base as required.Implement and perform inductions to service delivery personnel.Act as point of contact and coordinate during warranty works and defect liability periods.

 

What You’ll Bring

Technical expertise and trade or tertiary training in either building maintenance, mechanical or electrical services (preferably HV Operations).Demonstrated experience in the delivery of Facilities Management, with sound knowledge of Facilities Management contract principals.Demonstrated ability to manage tradespeople and subcontractors.Understanding of WHS and Industrial Relations law and regulations.Knowledge of statutory obligations, Codes of practice and Building Code of Australia strong communication and negotiating skills.Suitability for a Defence security clearance.
