Element has an opportunity for an Site Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision.
This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.
Responsibilities In charge of operation of NDT testing onsite includes test arrangement, testing and reportingProvides counsel to coworkers and customers requiring critical analysis of dataBe responsible for SINGLAS Accreditation and assist in the professional development of novice technicians and engineersUtilizes an assortment of skills, methods, procedures and materials in advanced testing analysisCapable to read/translate construction drawings and technical requirement in reaching of testing conclusionConfident making both formal and information presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholdersReview test report and ensure all laboratory are in constant state of regulatory compliance and inspection readinessDevelop training material and deliver technical training to laboratory colleagues Skills / Qualifications Possess a Bachelors of Civil Engineering or Material Science degree in testing related field with a minimum of 2 years’ pertinent post-degree engineering experience, or advanced academic/professional qualificationsWorking knowledge of construction site and laboratory safetyPossesses a wealth of knowledge, deep awareness and critical understanding related to the scope, core theories, concepts, terminologies and boundaries of his/her chosen engineering disciplinHas a depth of specialty knowledge and understanding in multiple areas of an engineering disciplineHas also demonstrated the ability to develop technical knowledge in their chosen field in the context of Element’s businessPossesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Element’s businessIn-depth understanding of testing conceptsPossess strong computer skillsAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plusPossess class 3 driving license is a plus
