WSP in the Middle East are seeking a proactive and experienced **Site Engineer – Vertical Transport** to join our project delivery team in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate will oversee the installation, coordination, and quality assurance of vertical transportation systems (elevators, escalators, and moving walkways) on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. + Supervise the site execution of vertical transport systems as per project drawings and manufacturer specifications. + Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other disciplines (civil, MEP, architectural) to ensure seamless integration. + Monitor installation progress, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. + Liaise with consultants, contractors, and client representatives on technical issues and progress updates. + Review method statements, risk assessments, and ensure all safety protocols are followed during installation. + Assist in testing and commissioning of VT systems and ensure timely handover to the client. + Prepare daily site reports, monitor material deliveries, and track work schedules. + Address and resolve technical site issues in a timely manner. + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field. + Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in vertical transport system installation (preferably in high-rise or large-scale projects). + Solid understanding of lift/escalator design, installation standards, and coordination. + Familiarity with major lift brands (e.g., Otis, KONE, Schindler, Mitsubishi, Thyssenkrupp) is preferred. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment.
