Site E&I Senior QC Inspector

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

Clough currently has an opportunity for an additional Senior E&I QC Inspector on site. This role is responsible to perform inspections in accordance with Project Quality Control Plans, Inspection Test Plans with reference to electrical / instrumentation activities. Following relevant specified procedures, issuing the relevant Quality Records.

Your focus will include: 

Verify that material and equipment are correctly received, stored, preserved, calibrated, handled, identified and traceable. Support and check the evaluation of the qualification of inspection personnel in charge of works, verify work procedures, including those relating to special processes. Supervise and witness inspections, check reports and documentation issued by inspectors and verify the collection of required Quality Records. Perform Hazardous Area (EEHA) Inspections. In case of subcontracted activities, verify the correct implementation of approved Quality Control Plans / Inspection Test. Plans, witnessing inspections and collecting relevant Quality Control Records. Verify the collection and management of documents certifying test, controls and inspections, checking that all records are properly retrievable within the final As-Built dossier. Verify the preparation of the Quality works dossier for final handover to the Document Controller. Verify that the NCR management process is in place and effective. Works cooperatively with Construction, Subcontractors, and Client QA Representatives in a team environment with transparent sharing of information to the benefit of the project. Provide input into the weekly quality reports to the Project Quality Manager. Reports any discrepancies or concerns immediately upon discovery to the Site Quality Manager. Provides quality-related guidance to all stakeholders. Conducts in-process audits to determine adequacy and effectiveness of quality control activities being performed throughout the project to meet the requirements of the approved Quality, Inspection and Test Plans. Train personnel about Quality issues and methodologies.

 

What you will bring to the team: 

Minimum 10 years of experience as QC Inspector. Experience in oilfield related plant / facility construction. Must be familiar with Microsoft Office software (Access, Excel, Outlook, Word). Electrical Engineer or Electrical Trade Qualified. Current Electrical Licence. Competencies for Working with Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas (EEHA) AS/NZS 4761. Ability to be guided and oriented to objectives and task accomplishment, producing the agreed end results, within the timeframe and budget required, and within agreed parameters of Risk, HSE, Quality. Capability to coordinate and effectively communicate with the team, as well as with other involved departments, actors and parties. Ability to work a 19:9 FIFO rotation to site.
