Site Delivery Manager
The Opportunity

Reporting to the Regional Infrastructure Lead you will have accountability for Infrastructure delivery of solutions, Capital initiatives and projects within a group of CSL sites in the Americas. You will work with Business Partners and other key stakeholders to understand their infrastructure requirements. In addition, you will be responsible for Executive Support and Local Site Operations within Regional remit. You will also coordinate with appropriate tower owners or contractors to ensure IT system reliability to meet business needs. You will manage Delivery Managers, Operational Leads and Executive Support personnel as required. You will work closely with resources responsible for R&D and Manufacturing service delivery.

The Role

Project Management / Solution Delivery

Participate in Regional Project Review Status meetings and Steering Committees as required to ensure project scope, cost, schedule, and quality are in alignment. Additionally, provide leadership and oversight of other project roles when needed such as validation and design lead.

Provide resources to lead IT infrastructure workstreams for local site projects.

Daily Operations

Meet with stakeholders on their roadmaps, projects, and opportunities.

Oversee delivery execution for infrastructure projects.

Lead stakeholder escalations and initiate interaction with the business to resolve service issues while fostering key relationships.

Ensure changes are managed and implemented in compliance with company procedures.

Manage expectations and communications with stakeholders, Information & Technology, and Leadership.

Review key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of I&T processes and improve daily operations.

QMS

Ensure that the infrastructure team (including non-employees) are trained and complying with the appropriate regulatory guidelines (e.g., cGMP), global I&T procedures, I&T standards, I&T practices, and Computer Systems Validation methodology as defined by QMS (global I&T Quality Management System) and based upon the application business function. Ensure audit findings are closed within agreed timelines.

Strategy and Roadmap

Work with key stakeholders to understand their vision and roadmaps. Socialize and get buy-in for improvements from key stakeholders. Influence automation of technology and processes to improve efficiency.

Analyze and advise on the expected benefits, impacts, opportunities, etc. of any proposed initiative.

Drive maturity and innovation into the operating model and insert automation/tools into all solutions.

Work with Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure Engineering team in the development of new solutions.

People Management

Direct 5 or more team members to support infrastructure service delivery and operational support.

Financial Management

Participate, as assigned, in the management of specific cost centers, in the annual budgeting process (Opex and Capex), periodic forecasting activities, on-going expense management (ensuring compliance with delegation of authority limits), project cost tracking and capital recovery process. Develop capital expenditure proposals and cost I&T projects as required.

Vendor Management

Responsible, together with Global Sourcing, to manage vendor relationships including selection, negotiation, establishing service levels (SLAs), monitoring and reviewing performance and contract management

Technical Knowledge

Maintain a working knowledge of current technologies and best practices related to the infrastructure area.

Your skills and experience

Bachelor's degree with a preferred focus in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years' experience in IT Infrastructure.

3 - 5+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including experience in influencing senior management and critical stakeholders.

Experience in handling complex and unique situations.

Strong customer focus - able to meet the demands of internal and external customers.

Multi-tasking - can manage several concurrent projects and prioritize demands.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pharma/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience desirable.

Work across a range of countries and cultures.

 Experience managing complex projects

The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $140,000 - $160,000. Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role may also include incentive compensation and equity.
