The Site Controller is responsible serving as the primary business partner to the Richmond Site Leadership team and will be accountable for the financial results of the manufacturing and R&D operations of this business. Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy of accounting, and management reporting, optimizing production costs, enabling investments in manufacturing and R&D, and quite importantly, supporting timely business decision-making.

This position reports to the Field Applications Director and is part of the Global Finance and will be based on-site, at Leica Biosystem's Richmond, IL location.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Co-own (with the Richmond Site Leader) the setting and delivery of P&L and Working Capital objectives for the LBS Richmond site.

Ensure the accuracy of financial accounting and management reporting in collaboration with the shared service organization while implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.

Develop financial plans and monthly forecasts in partnership with Site Leadership; ensure the assumptions and execution plans are jointly owned and that the entire team feels accountable for the results enabling them to understand and control costs to achieve financial goals

Focus on bringing predictability and efficiency to the closing, forecasting, and planning processes and champion a culture of strong internal controls and compliance

Provide critical financial analysis and business case modeling to support new product development, cost reduction initiatives, and capital investments

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Strong cost accounting knowledge and experience (Standard Costing, PPV, VAVE)

Experience with SAP or Oracle ERP System in a manufacturing environment

The essential requirements of the job include:

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

8+ years of progressive experience in financial roles, with a strong foundation in accounting principles

At least 3 years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment

3+ years of people management experience in a supervisory or lead capacity, with responsibility for direct or indirect reports (this role will oversee 1–2 team members)

It would be a plus if you also possess:

CPA or MBA

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

Ability to travel up to 10%

The annual salary range for this role is $140,000.00 - $200,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
