Assistant Site Controller** **Seneca, SC (On-Site)** **Relocation assistance is offered for the position.** We are looking for a Site Controller to join our team in Seneca, South Carolina. **Come create chemistry with us!** The Seneca EVC Plant manufactures advanced catalytic materials and engineered chemical products, including platinum, palladium, and ruthenium-based catalysts, which are tailored for use in chemical processing, clean energy systems, and specialty industrial applications. These materials support technologies such as hydrogen production, carbon capture, and high-efficiency chemical synthesis, and are produced using precision-controlled processes like extrusion, calcination, and advanced automation systems. As an Assistant Site Controller, you will collaborate closely with the Operations and Supply Chain teams at the Seneca site, as well as with colleagues from the Global Functions of the Catalyst Business Unit, to drive process optimization and operational excellence. **As a Assistant Site Controller, you create chemistry by...** + Supporting financial and operational activities on-site, reporting directly to the Seneca Site Controller. + Assisting with month-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the Seneca site and its warehouse and tolling operations. + Ensuring compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and supporting internal and external audits through accurate documentation. + Providing financial insights and analysis to the Site Leadership and Catalyst Business Teams, with a focus on fixed costs and product costing. + Collaborating with Operations, Supply Chain, and Global Catalyst Business Unit teams to drive continuous improvement and enhance site profitability. + Coordinating annual physical inventory counts and preparing account reconciliations in accordance with internal controls and audit standards. **If you...** + Have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CMA or equivalent certification is preferred. + Bring at least 3 years of experience in Controlling, Finance, Operations, or Supply Chain, with a strong track record in transactional record keeping and reconciliation. + Possess a solid understanding of management accounting principles, inventory control methods, and the financial impact of material flows, production, and shipments. + Demonstrate proficiency in IFRS standards, particularly in inventory valuation and financial instruments. + Showcase the ability to navigate complex processes and implement scalable financial structures. + Have hands-on experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP), along with advanced Excel and Power BI skills for analysis and reporting. + Exhibit strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally while managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments. **Create your own chemistry with you@BASF** At BASF, you will have the chance to do meaningful work towards building a more sustainable future.
