Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. Our Costa Rica site primarily supports TAVR franchise which offers significant growth potential. It will be a great opportunity for this position to be part of solid growth journey and serving patients globally. As the Site Controller position, you will be responsible for the full range of controllership disciplines involving financial reporting, planning, strategic analysis and consolidations. Analysis and financial controls in support of various functional areas in Operations, covering the following functional areas: 1) Operations, Quality and Engineering, 2) Supply Chain, 3) Plant Controllership. **What You’ll Work On** + BUSINESS SUPPORT: Provide business support and financial counsel and direction to site leadership for all functional areas in SH CR (e.g., Ops/Manuf./Eng./QA/Supply Chain/R&D) and their respective staffs. This includes support in the establishment of goals; strategies; priorities and tactics. Provide financial management and direction for R&D programs onsite and product transfers to SH Costa Rica site. + FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP: Set expectations of the financial organization's role in support of the business strategies; including alignment with other functional organizations. Manage the development; consolidations; analysis; andexplanation/publication of LBEs. Manage the actual financial accounting and reporting for Functional Area Supported including ensuring the accuracy of financial information and related operational metrics including comparisons to appropriate benchmarks. Create ad hoc analysis for use in addressing business issues and strategic opportunities. + MANAGEMENT: Direct the Ops Finance SH department; Supervise the department employees and ascertain adherence to Human Resources policies and regulations, including development of department and individual goals and activities, performance evaluations, training and coaching; Advise the Costa Rica SH Plant Director and other staff managers on financial and non-financial activities that impact, complement or improve the facility operations performance. + COST ACCOUNTING: Direct and manage all the functions and activities associated with the managerial cost accounting section, such as budgets and strategic plans preparation, manufacturing product costing, manufacturing variance (direct labor, material and overhead) analysis, inventory reconciliations, forecasting and projections, etc. + CLOSING & REPORTING: Coordinate the timely and accurate preparation of the monthly financial statement, quarterly schedules and year-end financial information packages; Ascertain and assure adherence to the corporateand division due dates for end of the month closing and other financial information requirements; Lead the timely preparation of the monthly performance reports (overhead, absorption and manufacturing variances). + INTERNAL CONTROLS & COMPLIANCE: Ensure SH operations maintains a strong system of internal accounting controls to ascertain proper segregation of duties, appropriate disbursements of company funds, and safeguarding of all company assets; Develop, implement, review and monitor compliance with company policies, guidelines and procedures, relevant to the finance; Maintain accurate accounting records of payroll, accounts payable, general ledgers, financial statements, cost accounting and other finance records in accordance with record retention policies and schedules. **Required Qualifications** + Bachelors’ Degree: Accounting/Finance + Minimum 10 years relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance and Auditing, preferably in a Director/Controller level in a multinational company. – Prior Plan/Site Finance Management experience is required + Full knowledge of integrated accounting cycle and information systems; past experience in both manufacturing and financial accounting required. Ability to establish systems of internal controls that comply with local and US (Sarbanes–Oxley) regulations. + Fully bilingual required (Spanish & English) + Proficiency in computer applications proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint). + Absorption costing with SAP. + Excellent communication (both oral and written) & interpersonal skills.
