Site Control Supervisor (Yukon Flats Project)
Overview The Yukon Flats Project is recruiting for its seasonal exploration program in Birch Creek, Alaska, running between June and October. The Site Control Supervisor is responsible for maintaining oversight for a controlled area designated by their Supervisor or Fairweather’s client. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Seconded to the Drilling and Wells group / or incident management team (IMT) as the single point of contact on the controlled area to ensure authorized personnel access Coordinate equipment and materials logistics for drilling and completion operations Tracking who is currently on site; checking in personnel as they arrive and checking them out as they leave. Perform orientations to the site for authorized visitors or people unfamiliar with the area and operations Inform all arriving personnel of the current activity and any additional restricted areas due to work that may be taking place Act as a single point of contact to coordinate between the various work groups working in the controlled area, providing status updates of current work activities Interact with employees, contractors and outside vendors as necessary Document / monitor readings from the remote gas monitoring system from the site control shack Communicate and collaborate effectively with: Management Third party suppliers and contractors Logistics personnel & Supply Chain Management Drilling and competitions engineers HSE & Environmental Compliance teams In the event that there is an emergency, the Site Control / SIMOPS Supervisor is responsible for having an accurate list of onsite personnel and ensuring they are accounted for at the designated muster area MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED 5+ years' experience working in the Oil & Gas Industry (Remote Alaska experience preferred) Previous experience working with drill rig operations Previous experience in safety sensitive positions Excellent communication and teamwork skills Working knowledge of Microsoft programs Ability to work a rotational schedule Valid Driver's License   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced interpersonal and relationship-building skills Advanced problem resolution skills Advanced written and verbal communication skills Project Management Professional SIMOPS experience Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION: Fairweather's business philosophy and practice is to provide reasonable accommodations, according to applicable state and federal laws, to all qualified individuals with physical or mental disabilities.
