Weekend Site Assurance Officer

Diageo’s Shieldhall packages a huge volume of Scotch malt whiskies, white spirits and ready to drink brands to supply over 170 countries across the globe and is a key manufacturing site within the Scotch supply category.
About the Role
Based within our hardworking team at Shieldhall, you’ll play a pivotal role in the effective management and protection of all company assets across the site, thus preventing any unauthorized access to site and to prevent acts of theft, arson, vandalism and product contamination.
Providing essential assurances to the business through audit, you are responsible for carrying out regular quality assurance of H&S, Risk, Security, Quality, Environmental and stock accountability procedures.
What you’ll be doing:
Working with the Risk lead/Assurance Manager to achieve benchmarks set through departmental strategy, the successful candidate will maintain Security standards through implementation of departmental operating procedures and work instructions.
Key Responsibilities include:
Completing and recording assigned daily and monthly audit checks.
Ensuring site security by conducting random searches, scheduled patrols, and act as a superuser on CCTV operating system.
Responsible for roll call during fire activations including alarm test and site evacuation and attend first aid calls where required.
Contractor and Diageo personnel induction and access management.
Effective upkeep of C-cure access management system ensuring timely actioning of access application and removal and regular audit of badge access.
Supervise Health & Safety and Security arrangements during foot patrols and undertake building inspections outside normal working hours (to check for leaks and security breaches and ensure Health & Safety compliance).
Accurate recording and reporting of incidents/findings.
Shifts
You will work a 3-shift rotation across the weekend, totalling 38 hours per week.
Shift patterns are as follows:
Friday – 8am - 8pm
Saturday & Sunday : 7am - 8pm
About You

Key skills :
An understanding of confidentiality and discretionary requirements when dealing with sensitive information or situations.
Flexibility for shift cover during site shutdowns/sickness/annual leave absence.
Full, clean UK driver’s license
Desirable Skills :
Security background or SIA trained.
First aid trained.
