We are looking for a Site Administration and Payroll Coordinator to join our team in Elyria, OH.

BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies. The division develops and produces mobile emissions catalysts as well as process catalysts and offers precious metals trading, recycling and related products and services.
The Site Administrator plays a vital role in supporting daily operations at a unionized chemical manufacturing facility by managing administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with union agreements, and assisting both management and employees. Responsibilities include handling payroll, coordinating events, managing grievances, supporting onboarding and communication efforts, and contributing to special projects as needed.
**As a Site Admin and Payroll Coordinator, you create chemistry by...**
+ Reviewing and correcting hourly payroll, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with policies and union agreements
+ Paying site-related invoices and maintaining accurate financial records
+ Coordinating meals and logistics for events, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams
+ Filing and tracking union grievances, and maintaining organized resolution records
+ Managing shift schedules, updating manpower reports, and resolving assignment conflicts
+ Assisting with onboarding by supporting training, documentation, and administrative tasks
+ Posting internal communications, maintaining bulletin boards, and supporting general administrative needs including medical recordkeeping
**If you...**
+ Have a high school diploma or equivalent; preferably hold an associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field
+ Possess 3–5 years of experience in administrative roles, ideally within unionized or manufacturing environments
+ Demonstrate familiarity with payroll systems, invoice processing, event coordination, and union grievance procedures
+ Exhibit strong organizational, time-management, communication, and interpersonal skills
+ Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and relevant platforms such as SAP
+ Maintain the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
+ Show capacity to collaborate with union representatives, employees, and leadership while adapting to fast-paced, production-based settings
