Sit-down Forklift
Core Duties:
Operating the forklift:Safely and accurately moving materials using the forklift, including lifting, lowering, and transporting loads.
Loading and unloading trucks:Accurately loading and unloading materials from trucks, ensuring proper stacking and securing of cargo.
Moving materials:Transporting materials to designated storage locations, production areas, or other areas within the facility.
Restocking and inventory:Restocking shelves, pallets, and other storage locations, ensuring proper stock rotation and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Assisting with warehouse tasks:May include assisting with order picking, pallet building, preparing materials for shipment, or other related tasks.
Work Experience
Maintaining equipment:
Performing daily inspections and basic maintenance on the forklift, reporting any needed repairs.
Adhering to safety regulations:Following safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Communication:Communicating effectively with other warehouse personnel, providing accurate information, and following instructions.
Maintaining a clean and organized work environment:Keeping the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Ensuring proper stock rotation:Following first-in, first-out (FIFO) principles to ensure that the oldest inventory is used first.
Quality assurance:Identifying and reporting damaged or missing goods, ensuring the quality of materials.
Documentation:Maintaining accurate records of inventory, movement of materials, and other related activities.
