Location:

The Single Use Technology Applications Specialist is a field-based position based out of the greater, Raleigh/Durhan, North Carolina area.  This role will support the regional area of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia.  Approximately 50% domestic travel, including overnight stays, will be required for this role. 

 

Your Role:

In the Single Use Technical Applications Specialist role, you are expected to utilize your technical expertise within biopharma processing and interpersonal skills to generate sales of Single Use Technologies with the MilliporeSigma portfolio. This position involves supporting the sales force by providing tactical and strategic insights, product and process technical information, and project support to secure additional sales and identify new opportunities, ultimately leveraging your expertise to drive business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with pre-established customers in the region while collaborating with Account Managers to identify and pursue new customer sites.Work directly with customers to design Single Use Equipment tailored to their specific needs.Develop a deep understanding of products and components to create solutions, focusing on both standard and custom products.Utilize Artista to create detailed drawings for customer solutions and collaborate with the engineering team at the manufacturing facility.Finalize solutions by taking sample/prototype products back to customers for testing and proof of concept, with the sales staff facilitating this process.Understand and utilize Salesforce to generate reports, including sales reports, customer visit reports, and opportunity reports.Stay informed about the current sales, orders, and opportunity pipeline for the assigned region.

 

 

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent discipline with 5+ years in or servicing the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Industry with knowledge of sterile filtration and Single Use Technology.

OR

Masters degree in chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, life sciences, chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent discipline with 3+ years in or servicing the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical Industry with knowledge of sterile filtration and Single Use Technology.Previous customer facing and/or sales experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Master degree in a Life Science, Engineering or Business.Highly motivated, adaptable, and self-directedStrong communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, prioritization, and organization skills.Experience working in a global matrix organization.

 

 

Pay Range for this position: $85,000 - $158,600​

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
