Singapore Country Sales ManagerPosition Overview
Shaw's country manager for Singapore shall be the driver for growing Shaw business in Singapore. He or she will set the strategic direction for the country in conjunction with the management of the Asia region and work within the budget to achieve the company’s long term financial objectives. This strategic objective then needs to be implemented into daily activities of the team in Singapore. The role is a management role. This includes coaching and managing our account managers in Singapore.
Direct and organize the team so they focus on the accounts and projects that provide the best return.
The country manager will also be responsible for managing dealers, reviewing sales channels, prospecting for new partners and business opportunities as well as ensuring as many Shaw specifications as possible.
The role will require the successful applicant to manage certain key account relationships directly, and will be required to serve as the main source of business opportunities and project leads for projects specified in Singapore.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Work closely with our Singapore dealers to make sure they comply with Shaw's expectations to represent Shaw's brand. Have an aligned strategy to secure growth in the market and a plan on how to achieve their sales targets.Recruit, train, coach, and manage Shaw account managers (AM) in Singapore. Target shall be to have each AM utilize their competence to optimize the impact on Shaw sales in Singapore.Have an overall understanding of the decision-makers in Singapore who influence commercial and hospitality projects. This will cover several key parties, ranging from designers to contractors to owners / end-users.Manage associate level contacts within target A&D as well as project management firms directly in order to convince key stakeholders and provide a consistent supply of project leads for the Singapore team’s sales pipeline.Manage the performance and capability development of the Singapore sales team on a regular basis while making use of data and systems to drive some of the conversations.Take ownership of the regional end-users with HQ’s based in Singapore with an eye for generating annuity business.Take the leading role in working with the Global Accounts director for the Asia region in winning projects for our global clients in Singapore and across the region.Job Qualifications
5+ years of sales experience in commercial interiors or related fieldDemonstrated leadership abilities required, leadership experience preferredTrack records of meeting and exceeding sales targetsDemonstrated ability to set and execute strategic directionAbility to learn Salesforce.com and other Shaw systems necessary for the position.Te candidate must have the ability to use a laptop computer and basic Microsoft Windows software including MS Office, Salesforce, and Showpad.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid driver’s license.Must be able to travel in an airplane for long distances overseas.Ability to carry samples and be able to lift 30 to 50 pounds.Other Requirements:
Must have a valid passportMust have a valid work pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower (if the employee is not a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident.)Foreign language skills preferred.Good organization skills, be able to set business goals and budgets and measure the results.Maintain a professional dress code..
