We are seeking a Simulator Technician with an Associates degree in a related field of study and at least 4 years of relevant experience. What to look forward to: The Simulator Technician will ensure quick response to customer requests for product support. The tasks performed will include but not be limited to system and device troubleshooting and problem evaluation as well as performing and/or supporting the necessary rework or repairs required to return the equipment to functional status. The Simulator Technician will be involved in the performance of repairs, modifications, inspections, and maintenance of Flight Simulation Training Devices (FSTD).

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Provide technical support to SNC customers in order to give quick problem assessment and corrections for the fielded Flight Training Devices, Mission Trainers, and desktop trainersResponsible for providing outstanding customer-centered quality support and service ensuring the highest levels of customer satisfactionResponsible for documenting all customer interactions and must implement and/or support implementation for hardware, software, or training issue changes according to approved SNC instructionsAbility to and responsibility to interface by all media (written, email, verbal, electronic, face to face etc.)Responsible for the setup, configuration, repair, break/fix, moves/add/changes and integration of new and existing computing hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies and peripheralsPerform preventative maintenance and setup for a variety of simulator related equipment and locationsPerform maintenance in accordance with applicable technical data, SOPs and FAA/AF regulations Document work being performed in turnover log of work carried over from the various shiftsEnsure availability of Simulator for training in compliance with requirements

Qualifications You Must Have:

Associate's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experienceA higher level degree may substitute for experienceRelated experience may be considered in lieu of required educationAbility to understand and interpret technical schematics, system prints, and documentsStrong troubleshooting skillsBasic understanding of electrical wiring conceptsKnowledge of current IT technical standards as related to computers, network technology, and networking equipmentExperience in Windows and Linux administration.Networking, sub-netting, VLAN, layer 2/3 routing and switching.Familiarity with Active Directory and group policy.Experience in Aviation Avionics and Electronics is a plus.Strong sense of customer/solution ownership, an overall drive for excellence, and a proven ability to manage multiple projects to successful completionThe technician must have a good command of the English language, both written and verbal, for report preparation and customer interfaceAbility to employ special tools and equipment to include but not limited to radio spectrometer, oscilloscope, chromameter, torque wrench, multimeter, etc.Ability to obtain/maintain CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent in accordance with DOD-8570Superior customer service and communications skills along with ability to drive productive team collaborationCurrent Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Associate's degree in a related field of studyExperience with FCC or FCC GROLPrior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+Basic understanding of Pilot Static Equipment gaugesBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
