GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. Patel Research Institute, also located at AdventHealth Tampa, leads the way in clinical and academic research in the areas of neuroscience, cardiovascular medicine, advanced surgery and more contributing valuable knowledge that leads to tomorrows cures for conditions such as heart failure, cancer and other diseases. **The role youll contribute:** The Simulation Technologist assists with the planning and execution of all operational and technical aspects of simulated learning activities, simulation-based education, and scenario-based training for the AdventHealth American Heart Training Center, the AdventHealth Central Florida Division system, and associated programs/partners, including Graduate Medical Education, and AdventHealth University. The Simulation Technologist helps facilitate all aspects of the operation, support, and movement of all AdventHealth Learning Technologies, Simulation & Training equipment, such as the human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual systems. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. **The value youll bring to the team:** Supports all aspects of the simulated learning environment before and after exercises. Assists with the preparation, delivery, setup, tear-down, and maintenance of simulation equipment and supplies. Facilitates the preparation, setup, and tear-down of AdventHealths various simulated learning environments. Assists with role playing applications, to include moulage and prop/equipment placement. Operates all human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual equipment during simulation training exercises. Programs, tests, and runs scenarios with simulation staff, facilitators, and instructors to ensure equipment is operational. During training exercises, the Simulation Technologist directly interacts with the participants, makes appropriate adjustments to the scenario, and provides responses, via simulator operation, based on participant feedback and actions. Assists with participant wayfinding and movement during training exercises. Facilitates operational and technical aspects of post-exercise debriefings. Serves as a liaison to campuses/programs for technical assistance and expertise related to operational and technical aspects of simulators and computer/audiovisual equipment for simulation-based learning. Provides assistance to customers for simulated learning preparation, set-up, course/scenario facilitation, debriefing, and post-exercise break down/clean up. Assists with train-the-trainer education sessions to train instructors and facilitators to operate simulators, computer/audiovisual software and associated equipment. Provides hands-on expertise on simulators and associated equipment as needed. Continually assesses opportunities for improvement in all aspects of learning technologies. Actively participates and contributes expertise to process improvement activities. Qualifications **The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed** **:** High School Grad or Equiv Required 1 years Related Experience Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT) Paramedic, Emergency Medical Technician, Emergency Department Technician. Preferred Driver's License (DL) Florida Class E Drivers License and driving record in accordance with AdventHealth Policy.
