Job Summary
The Simulation Coordinator oversees the overall functionality and advancement of the simulation program, providing leadership in the planning, coordination, and execution of simulation activities, managing resources, and supporting long-term operational effectiveness. This role is responsible for shaping program direction, supporting simulation users, directing procurement of needed supplies and equipment, directing simulation policies, and ensuring alignment with current industry standards and best practice. The Simulation Coordinator serves as a change agent, is fluent in problem-solving and team building necessary to advance improvements.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Allied Health or Education or Information Technology and related fields
Master's degree preferred
Strong technology skills
Minimum of three years' experience required or experience in simulation outside of healthcare combined with lesser degree or lesser years of experience
If a RN, active Kentucky or Compact state RN license; if Allied Health, active license in discipline
Obtain certification in healthcare simulation within 5 years
