Defense Systems is looking for a Systems Project Engineer Level 3/4 to be an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons. Here you will be at the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighters. The ideal candidate will support the SiAW Program to ensure that the proper planning and execution for the testing of the SiAW Missile. This position will require close collaboration with team members of various disciplines that support gathering the necessary hardware, equipment, data, processes and documentation to successfully complete all deliverables as part of the missile tests for SiAW.

This role is based in Northridge, CA and will be 100% on-site. Roles & Responsibilities:

A successful candidate will have the qualities and essential functional expertise to:

Assist with the generation of well-defined and executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documentsDevelop a Bill of Material (BOM) for bench STEs and support the management of the Hardware Utilization Matrix (HUM)Perform functional analysis and systems trade studies for technical solutions with respect to concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance.Experience being a Product Owner and overseeing requirements for various programsComfortable working in a lab environment and familiar with bench hardware and TEWork with multiple teams of different disciplines simultaneouslyCollaborating with Stakeholders and Government customersEnsures system engineering deliverables on major program milestones are met and risks are identified and addressed early.Interface with design and implementation engineers and subject matter experts to ensure that robust and compliant designs are developed.Plan for the integration and test of systems and subsystems

Basic Qualifications:

Systems Project Engineer Level 3:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight (5) years of related experience in similar / related field OR a Master’s Degree with six (3) years of experience OR a PhD with four (1) years of experienceExperienced, skilled, and disciplined in system engineering processes (requirements analysis and definition, functional analysis, and/or systems design synthesis). Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verificationMust have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashionCurrent active Secret clearance or higher.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in similar / related field OR a Master’s Degree with six (6) years of experience OR a PhD with four (4) years of experienceExperienced, skilled, and disciplined in system engineering processes (requirements analysis and definition, functional analysis, and/or systems design synthesis)Experience with system/subsystem integration, test, and verificationMust have proven experience in communicating with all levels of peers, management and customers in a methodical, detailed and process-oriented fashionCurrent active Secret clearance or higher

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EPLM and the Drawing Release ProcessExperience with Jira - issue tracking and agile project management, or similar toolFamiliar using test equipment (Oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.)Current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance

Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00Salary Range 2: $137,400.00 - $206,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
