Join Northrop Grumman’s Defense Systems sector as the SiAW Program Integration Manager 1 within our Advanced Weapons Program Operating Unit. The location for this role is in Northridge, California.

In support of the Program Director, the primary objective of the SiAW PI Manager is to orchestrate cross-functional alignment across all elements of a complex program by providing critical oversight to drive execution, visibility, and issue resolution to achieve program performance goals. The individual will be responsible for seamless integration and execution of the portfolio and growth activities. Primary duties will include facilitating the processes and tools to support end-to-end program plans and the utilization of tools to perform analyses, visualization, and optimization of program data. Candidate will facilitate cross-IPT and cross-program integration, Earned Value Management, Risk Management, and campaigns for successful completion of critical program milestones. Other duties will include support to the program office planning and communication, facility planning, staffing demand and onboarding; Infrastructure (workspace, dev. Environments, integration facilities, and multi-level security IT); program review/customer meeting coordination, and tool and metric development.
The PI Manager is responsible for leading program integration across all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and completion (contract closeout). The PI Manager will also be the functional manager for the project managers. Primary responsibilities are the management of cost, schedule, and technical performance and include, but are not limited to:
Lead program-level integration of schedules, deliverables, milestones, and risk plans across all functional contributors.Facilitate cross-functional forums and working groups to drive resolution of execution barriers.Maintain and monitor integrated master schedule and support earned value integration as applicable.Interface with program leadership and functional leads to ensure alignment of scope, cost, schedule, and risks.Provide integrated performance reporting, including status dashboards, execution metrics, and risk escalations.Support program change management processes, including the impact assessment of scope or baseline changes.Lead or support program readiness reviews, executive briefings, and integration planning sessions.Act as a liaison between technical teams, business operations, and customer representatives.Engage with technical staff members to clearly shape their roles and responsibilities specific to program executionEnsure members have sufficient statements of work, balancing resources among program needsResponsible for PIT process review and ownershipMeet budget targets and interpret higher level guidance for implementation within the organization for process implementation and improvementAssist the Program Management Office with administration of overall program effortPoint of contact for improved cross-site integration of remote teamsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years OR a Master’s degree and 3 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industriesPrevious Program Integration experience including but not limited to: integration support across portfolio of programs, project staffing demand/plan, facilities planning & coordination, operational efficiency initiatives, risk management, weekly temp/program meeting rhythm, and supporting costing exercises and supporting proposals.Ability to autonomously assess complex problems and decompose them into a plan of action while coordinating across a large and diverse team of program, business, and technical SMEs.Ability to manage revenue, profit and cash performance of programsExperience with Earned Value ManagementAbility to make good decisions and exercise appropriate judgment that balances customer and program needsStrong facilitation, communication, and executive reporting skills with all levels of internal and external managementStrong organizational savvy and ability to influence without authorityActive Secret clearance or above is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after starting.Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret / SCI clearancePMP or equivalent certificationDemonstrated ability to adapt to changing environments, while maintaining consistently high customer relations, service, and engagement.Strong technical background and communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely brief executive forums.Be highly detail-oriented and a skilled communicator with excellent presentation abilities.Previous technical program integration experience is preferred.Ability to effectively interface with other Engineering and Production disciplines across the Sector, as well as Programs, Business Development, HR, Mission Assurance, etc.Experience working with SharePoint, Tableau, PowerBI, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.Familiarity with Long Range Planning development in conjunction with customer requirementsExperience leading proposal efforts to include large value through corporate level gating processesExperience in the aerospace/defense industry or within the Department of DefenseSalary Range: $112,000.00 - $168,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
