SHUTTLE DRIVER (Part-Time)

The Shuttle Driver is primarily responsible for transporting team members to and from the casino, as well as guests or goods between various locations. Shuttle Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record. They must also have excellent guest service skills and be able to communicate effectively with passengers. Shuttle Drivers must be able to follow a schedule and ensure that passengers arrive at their destination safely and on time. 

·         Transport passengers to and from designated locations in a safe and timely manner

·         Follow pre-planned routes and schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations

·         Assist passengers with loading and unloading of luggage and other items

·         Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shuttle vehicle

·         Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition

·         Report any vehicle malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate department

·         Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving the shuttle vehicle

·         Provide excellent guest service to passengers, addressing any questions or concerns they have

·         Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the Valet Department

·         Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license with Gaming Commission

·         Clean driving record

·         Ability to operate a passenger van

·         Great communication skills

·         Ability to follow directions and schedules

·         High school diploma or equivalent

·         Previous experience as a shuttle driver preferred

·         Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

·         Great guest service skills

·         Must be able to work within a smoke-filled environment.

·         Must be able to stand 50% of shift

·         Must have a valid California Driver License

·         Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Jamul Casino Resort’s insurance policy.

 

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

 

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Team member must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations. 

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming Commission issued license. 

Must obtain a First Aid/AED certification. 

Must possess a valid California Driver’s License and have acceptable driving history.

The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.

Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and be able to handle chemical fumes and airborne particles (on occasion).  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. 

Team member could be exposed to an environment containing unrestricted second-hand tobacco smoke.
