Responsible for Caterpillar Mining’s portfolio of global tradeshows, customer/dealer visits and special events serving to enhance its industry positioning and the experiences of target audiences. Manages a team of events consultants. This position requires experience in large-scale event management involving complex layers of preparation. **What You Will Do:** • Contribute to the overall event strategy and roadmap and work closely with key leaders to develop a strategic portfolio. Drive the execution of event strategies. • Develop program and project plans for events, including detailed forecasting and budgeting. • Manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders during event stages to ensure flawless execution. • Negotiate contracts with vendors such as exhibition organizers, hotels, entertainment and creative agencies. • Develop effective communications materials to include strategic plans, project status updates, and other communications documents for various audiences. • Ensure work is executed through a lens of strategic impact and measurement, showing how the work is driving business outcomes. • Manage and oversee inventory for event-related equipment, infrastructure and merchandise. • Consistently seek efficiencies and opportunities to create value, including utilization of technology. • Lead, manage, and provide support for four experienced team members. **What You Will Have:** • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple constituents, including peers and senior executives • Proven ability to manage day-to-day team leadership responsibilities • Creative, integrative problem-solving and structured thinking • Proven track record leading cross-functional projects • Self-motivation with strong organizational and attention to detail • Excellent presentation and influence skills **Customer Focus:** Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer event solutions. • Solicits customer satisfaction feedback and acts on improvement opportunities. • Helps link organizational objectives to customer needs and expectations. **Global Perspective:** Knowledge of issues, opportunities, and challenges for conducting business in the international marketplace;
