Position OverviewUnited Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Showroom Assistant Coordinator to support the daily operations of its Homecare showroom in Johnson City, New York. The Showroom Assistant Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting patients and customers with medical equipment needs, maintaining inventory, and ensuring a welcoming and organized retail environment.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and interacting with individuals from a variety of backgrounds. Previous experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare is helpful but not required. This position offers the opportunity to join a community-based healthcare system that is focused on delivering high-quality, compassionate care throughout the Southern Tier and surrounding regions.

Job Responsibilities
+ Supports retail sales in the Home Medical Equipment Showroom and strives to provide and maintain the highest quality of customer service
+ Maintains a clean, organized, and well-stocked showroom at all times
+ Communicates effectively with patients, referral sources, physician offices, billing staff, and customer service departments to resolve issues and address questions
+ Handles requests for corrections and provides additional information as needed
+ Discusses patient information in a discreet, confidential, and professional manner
+ Manages demo and rental accounts; makes weekly follow-up calls on patient hold orders
+ Maintains daily inventory control, including pricing and restocking
+ Assists the manager in maintaining weekly inventory sheets for showroom products
+ Participates in the orientation of new employees to the showroom layout and procedures
+ Demonstrates the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
+ Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent with ability to type accurately a minimum of 30 wpm.
+ Experience with office equipment, medical terminology and the application of data processing procedures.
Preferred:
+ Billing knowledge related to home health care and third party insurance.
+ Prior experience in a hospital and/or medical office.
