Join our team and help build engineering solutions that change the industry. **About the Role:** The **Shop Technician I** works primarily in the shop disassembling, assembling and repairing frac valves. **What you will do:** + Effectively demonstrate the core values of SPM Oil & Gas at all times + Assemble and break down, clean new or used equipment, inspect, repair and test grease and paint equipment + Troubleshoot, repair, reassemble and test frac valves based on customer communications + Read and follow standard operating procedures + Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of the shop, work area, and equipment + Perform shipping and receiving responsibilities + Be responsible for the safety of self and others including reporting of all work-related injuries, near misses, equipment damage and unsafe acts to supervisor or senior technician as soon as practicable + Operate, handle, and lift shop equipment and tools and products that weigh up to 50 lbs. + Maintain SPM Oil & Gas company supplied assets and any other equipment, including site specific equipment, as it relates to company policy + Maintain a professional appearance and work attitude at all times + Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting + Follow all written policies and procedures safely without deviation or refer to upper management for guidance + Exhibit and advocate exemplary safety culture at all times + Exhibit a high degree of integrity at all times + Adhere to and exercise Stop Work Authority and Management of Change + Performs other duties as assigned **What you will have:** + Three to six months of equivalent work experience or training with frac valves + Current or previous leadership experience + Demonstrate consistency, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic + Working knowledge of frac valves + Previous experience with hand tools, power tools and air tools **Physical Demands:** + Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear + Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl + Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds + Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus + Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department **Work Environment:** + Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles + Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions + Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration + Noise Level: Moderate  **Additional Information:** + **Work Schedule:** 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This role operates on a 10-day on/4-day off cycle. For example, you'll work 10 consecutive days starting on Tuesday (through the following Thursday) and then have 4 days off. + Relocation assistance is not available for this position.     **Summary Pay Range:** $19.85 - $26.55 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
