Direct Hire position$70,000.00 to $95,000.00 /annuallyFirst Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 02:30pm)We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily operations in our manufacturing environment. Precision Laser manufactures 48’ and 53’ 18-wheeler drop deck trailers and automotive shipping racks (containerization).
Manage a team of 50+ shop employees (welders, painters, assemblers, department leads, machine operators etc.).Oversee the entire production process for 48’-53’ 18-wheeler drop deck trailers and automotive shipping racking ensuring efficient and quality output.Develop and implement production schedules, manage inventory of raw materials and finished products, and ensure efficient workflow.Identify and implement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall production capacity.Establish and maintain a quality control inspection system, monitor production processes, and implement corrective actions to address defects.Shop Manager Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing management roleExperience and knowledge of 18-wheeler drop deck trailers and/or automotive shipping racks manufacturing would be a major asset.Experience working within OSHA requirements.Understanding the welding process and fundamentals is a necessary.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, quality control, and safety regulations.Applicant may be subject to a background check*A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed.
