Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Shop Foreman to support our team in Rochester, NY. As the Shop Foreman, you will oversee the shop and assists in the department with various duties required around the shop. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: + Assists the Job Managers with the fabrication and delivery of materials to job sites + Assists the office coordinators, receiving and staging material deliveries for upcoming jobs + Maintain and organize material inventory + Prepares each job in accordance with the fabrication/stock lists + Operates shop equipment and machinery in accordance with safety requirements + Reports problems and discrepancies to Management + Maintain fleet vehicles, coordinating repairs and maintenance + Always maintains a clean and orderly work area + Other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: + High School Diploma or GED + Two years of experience in a shop setting a plus + Good mathematical skills with the ability to read a tape measure and add/subtract fractions + Good communication, organizational, reading and time management skills CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: + Valid driver’s license SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: + Leads shop assistant in tasks around the shop PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT: + Ability to lift to 50 pounds by self and up to 100 pounds assisted (with another person or mechanical assistance) + Ability to climbs ladders up to 6 feet + Ability to drive a fork-lift + Shop environment with exposure to outside elements during all seasons Starting Pay Range: 22-$25/hour Why Choose Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies? + Competitive Compensation: We offer competitive pay rates for experienced professionals, ensuring your skills are recognized and rewarded appropriately. + Comprehensive Benefits Package: Enjoy an industry-leading benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, and additional perks, ensuring your health and well-being are taken care of. + Strength of the Family:  The Davis-Ulmer Family of Companies, with over 30 locations across the East Coast and Midwest, epitomizes the strength of a team-first mindset.
