Job Description

Role: Shipping Supervisor

Job Summary: Reporting to plant leadership, the Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all shipping and warehouse operations. This includes supervising the shipping team, coordinating outbound shipments, maintaining warehouse organization, ensuring compliance with shipping documentation, and supporting production by ordering key materials. The Shipping Supervisor also ensures the team is appropriately trained and operates safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities 

Ensure appropriate initial and ongoing training of employees in safety, forklift use, and operational proceduresSupervise employees in the shipping departmentUtilize planning and organizational skills to coordinate shipping team efforts for efficient outbound shipmentsOversee daily warehouse operations, including labor scheduling, supervision, equipment usage, and building organizationPlan and manage distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling, and maintenance activitiesInteract with administrative and management staff to support inventory control and process improvementsEnsure shipment documentation is completed accurately and on time per regulations, policies, and customer specificationsLead and participate in quarterly inventory processesOrder granules, wrappers, and fiberglass in support of production needs

Qualifications 

5–8 years of shipping supervisory or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment requiredProficient in computer use and effective verbal and written communication across all levels of the organizationMust be in good standing (i.e., no performance or attendance issues)Bachelor’s degree preferred
