Shipping Supervisor
Responsible to produce in line with customers’ demands with the assigned human resources to his/her teams. Define his cells working standards based on the best practices.
Ensure all his teams members adhere to the defined working standards and continuously strive to improve them by encouraging and maintaining a steady flow of suggestions.
Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating the daily shipping activities within the warehouse. This role ensures that all outbound shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time, maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Your Role
Develop and maintain the working standards reflecting the best practices
Respond quickly to control and solve the problems highlighted by the visual control systems
Actively participate in the management routines and problems solving workshops
Ensure Production Teams continuously make suggestions and perform flash meetings
Monitor participations and effectiveness of the flash meetings
Follow up the implementation of the suggestions.
Develop teams’ skills to be able to produce with minimum help from others (the small train driver should be the only help needed)
Maintain & Organize Warehouse (5S) & Continuous Improvement
Ensure Shipping/Receiving Actions are safe, organized and timely.
Your Background
Technical knowledge on products and processes
Lean manufacturing and People Empowerment tools knowledge
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Project, Excel, Outlook, Skype, Teams, Visio, etc.)
Strong results-orientation and execution characteristics
Resourcefully innovative and adapts in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to work with a team
Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks, make intelligent, timely decisions and solve problems independently
Strong presence, poise and persuasiveness to establish a high level of credibility quickly
Skills
English level intermediate - advanced
Bachelor's degree Logistics or similar
Experience in PC&L (3 years minimum)
Leadership and people management skills
SAP knowledge
CTPAT knowledge
IATF, ISO14001, BSI audit knowledge
