Brief Description:
The Shipper Receiver is responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely and accurate handling of materials. This role supports both the Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams by preparing goods for delivery, receiving materials, managing documentation, and maintaining inventory integrity. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Detailed Description:
Assemble customer orders and prepare goods for domestic and international shipment.Record shipment data including weights, charges, tracking numbers, and destinations.Receive, unpack, and verify incoming materials and supplies.Complete shipping and receiving documentation in accordance with company procedures.Coordinate and communicate with carriers for scheduling of pickups and deliveries.Pull inventory and stock finished goods in appropriate locations.Deliver incoming shipments to appropriate internal departments.Maintain a clean, organized shipping/receiving area and comply with all safety and housekeeping standards.Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.Assist with inventory counts, reconciliations, and other supply chain functions as required.Perform other duties as assigned in support of the department.Job Requirements:
Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must maintain a clean driving record.Must be able work within a physically demanding and fast paced environment, and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, walking, and standing for extended periods.Ability to pass forklift certification and operate safely in a manufacturing environment with elevated noise levels.Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GEDMust maintain a clean driving record.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a shipping/receiving or warehouse environment.Familiarity with domestic and international shipping documentation and regulations.Forklift operation experience and certification.Knowledge of inventory systems or ERP software.Additional Details:
The Shipper & Receiver must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others including coworkers and third parties. The typical work environment will be in the shop or field which will require exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, working near moving mechanical parts, electrical energy, construction equipment, vibration, fumes, chemicals, and airborne particles.
