The shift is 1st Shift, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. In this role, you will develop skills in warehouse operations related to both production and vendor products. This includes: + Working the main receiving dock and managing the final disposition of products. + Receipt, storage, and distribution of raw materials. + Distribution of finished goods. Daily responsibilities will include: + Receiving, identifying, and verifying incoming materials from production and/or outside vendors, and storing them in appropriate locations according to specifications and department guidelines. + Distributing and/or storing items per department guidelines and specifications. + Accurately processing and maintaining all related documentation, both via PC and handwritten. + Utilizing appropriate material handling equipment to load and/or unload truckload carriers as per specifications. + Preparing orders for shipment according to instructions and specifications, including pallet labeling, consolidation, or stretch wrapping. + Maintaining inventory as per department guidelines. + Responding to all inter-company requests for materials and material counts, serving as a resource for team members and others in resolving related issues and problems. + As a member of a production support team, training, assisting, and supporting other team members in problem-solving and achieving department goals. + Continuously reviewing current processes and seeking improvement methods to enhance product/process quality, reduce waste, rework, and unnecessary work that does not add value. + Performing general housekeeping tasks and waste removal within the department/group and assisting other areas as required. + Assisting and supporting in other job functions within the process or other company processes within scope and ability, based on business needs. Qualifications What you'll need to excel: + High school diploma or GED. + At least 5 years of receiving experience. + 2 years of Oracle experience is preferred. + Basic math skills (whole numbers, fractions, and decimals). + Experience with inventory control and storage locator systems. + Ability to operate warehouse equipment like an Order Picker, Forklift, and Pallet Truck. Must be able to obtain a Material Handling License. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. + Physical ability to stand, sit, stretch, and bend throughout your shift. + Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse team. + Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely. + A strong commitment to safety.
