Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, and properly document inventory. Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in regular cycle counts. Transport material between sites (East Granby and Bloomfield) Communicate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve shipping or inventory issues. Operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment as needed, following safety protocols. Assist with stockroom activities such as pulling material (kitting) for Manufacturing Support continuous improvement efforts related to logistics and inventory management Must be a U.S. citizenEducation & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus. 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (Oracle, or IFS preferred) Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to lift and move materials up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periodsSkills
Proficient in inventory management systems (e.g., ERP, or barcode scanning software) Strong organizational and time management abilities Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and email systems Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of lading, and other shipping documents Familiarity with safety procedures and material handling best practices Effective communication and teamwork skills Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Physical stamina to lift, move, and organize materials as neededWorking Conditions
