What it takes to be a SHIPPING & RECEIVING COORIDNATOR at MEC:

Certified forklift operatorHave or the ability to obtain class A CDLMust be able to lift and move 50 poundsAbility to train, communicate, and work with othersDisplays ethical behavior and acts with integrityReliability

What you will be doing as a SHIPPING & RECEIVING COORDINATOR:

Compares identifying information and counts, weighs or measures items outgoing or incoming shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing slips, address labels and other records.Determines method of shipment.Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects pre-assembled containers.Inserts items into containers.Secures product to pallets using stretch wrap or metal banding.Stamps, stencils or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.Operates lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.Operates powered lift truck or hand truck to load outgoing freight onto trucks.Performs all necessary computer transactions.Operates weight scale and digital counter.Inserts items into containers.Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.Routes items to departments.Maintains inventory of receiving materials and supplies.Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags or labels.Other duties as assigned Options Apply Today!ApplyShareRefer a FriendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
