Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Shipping Manager in our Nashville, TN Distribution Center. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, order fulfillment, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you!

This position oversees a team of hourly associates working a day shift beginning at 5:00 am.

ResponsibilitiesResponsible to assist 3-4 drivers loading trucks for 1st and 2nd runs potentially in temperamental elementsEnsure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderlyMaintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training, and providing professional development for all of its associatesSupervise, coordinate, and participate in unloading and stocking of inbound shipments and the picking and shipping of outbound orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperworkEnsure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed dailyMaintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to branch managementResponsible for assisting warehouse associates with picking processMust adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE). This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs

QualificationsA strong background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required2+ years of warehouse management or supervisory experienceA Material Handling Equipment Certification is also recommendedProficient in OSHA and DOT regulationsWMS -Warehouse Management Systems, Highjump, Dispatch Track software experience preferred but willing to teach the right candidateProficient with all Microsoft Applications requiredA strong attention to detail, leadership and organizational skillsAbility to prioritize workload appropriately in order to balance multiple demands and meet timelinesPhenomenal communication skills and the ability and desire to manage a team

Pay Range:

$4,124.70 - $9,075.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
