What Matters Most:Hourly rate: $24–$26 (based on experience)Full-time, daytime schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PMLocation: Dallas, TXOpportunity to drive continuous improvement, lead carrier relationships, and train others within a growing manufacturing teamJob Description:The Shipping Lead is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations, ensuring orders are processed accurately and efficiently. This role includes maintaining carrier relationships, scheduling shipments, handling claims, and supporting departmental KPIs. The Shipping Lead will train and guide team members, implement process improvements, and foster a collaborative environment while ensuring compliance with company standards.
Responsibilities:Support continuous improvement initiatives in the shipping departmentDevelop, articulate, and maintain effective shipping area instructions (both written and oral)Understand departmental KPIs and implement strategies to consistently meet themManage carrier relationships: secure freight quotes, schedule shipments, file claims, ensure reliabilityPromote situational leadership concepts and support their application on the teamDemonstrate competencies including leadership, effective communication, analytical problem solving, learning orientation, performance management, technical aptitude, personal credibility, diversity and inclusion awareness, and presentation skillsCoordinate with internal stakeholders such as operations, materials, and manufacturing to meet internal and external customer needsCarry out additional tasks as specified or requested by leadership Qualifications:Prior experience in shipping, preferably involving industrial productsProficiency with GlobalShop (ERP) – able to train others, troubleshoot issues, and generate reportsStrong interpersonal and telephone communication skillsDemonstrated ability to meet or exceed individual performance measuresStrong capacity for problem-solving and team collaboration Your New Organization:Your New Organization: Company specializes in designing, engineering, and manufacturing standard and custom electrical enclosures.
