**_Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos_** **,** is seeking an experienced **Shipping-Kitting Clerk** to join its Logistics Shipping team.

**What is the job about?**
The Shipping and Kitting Clerk's primary responsibility is to process and execute daily shipment & delivery transactions, coordinate activities between the Customer Service team and the Shipping area, and follow SAP to complete Kits ensuring adequate buffer of production allowing for on-time shipments.
This position reports directly to the Warehouse Stores Supervisor and will operate daily out of the **Indianapolis, IN** facility (primarily Mon-Fri, approx 8:30am-5:00pm).
**_Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support._**
**_Your main responsibilities:_**
+ Inspect material and product for completeness and accuracy in regard to kitting and shipment to ensure system integrity;
+ Process daily shipment and delivery transactions in ERP system (SAP) to ensure deliveries ship in a timely manner;
+ Report and track errors, defects, and shortages pursuant to procedure; Performs manual and electronic record keeping and information retrieval functions;
+ Maintains fork lift equipment and complete preventative maintenance checklist;
+ Provide training and instruction to other employees as required; Help team with projects or tasks as necessary;
+ Act as an intermediary between the Shipping department, Warehousing, Production group and Customer Service team;
+ Follow up on Material Availability for outbound deliveries and kit completion;
+ Perform work, promote teamwork and communicate in conjunction with our culture and corporate standards (Safety/Environmental, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Communication, Internal Controls, etc.).

**Your background**
**_We imagine that you have:_**
+ High School Diploma, GED/HSE/HiSET or equivalent *required
+ Experience with transacting outbound logistics and processes related to the shipment of goods;
+ Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel;
+ Knowledge of SAP *much preferred;
+ Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills;
+ Willingness to work in other departments to cross train or help as needed

+ Material handling equipment (Lift truck, two wheeled truck, carts, etc.)

+ Computer (MS Windows, Lab View, Excel)
+ Ability to lift up to 40 pounds;
+ Ability to structure workload and prioritize tasks
+ Identify the target and workload for the day and define a plan to get things done (accountability)
+ WM experience in SAP an advantage
+ Good at organizing and structuring (5S)
+ Wear personal protective equipment in accordance with company policy and established safety standard
+ This position requires the incumbent to stand for extended periods of time, frequently grasp tools, bend, stoop, crouch, twist, reach, stand, and walk when performing duties.
+ Able to work in non-climate controlled factory and lab environment.
