They oversee shipping schedules, troubleshoots shipping issues, and communicates potential order delays. They are responsible for maintaining customer-specific packaging requirements and managing inventory through regular cycle counts and discrepancy investigations. The role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to implement corrective measures for inventory accuracy and timely shipments. At Parker, you will cultivate a strong culture by participating in High Performance Teams and operating in a LEAN structure. + Manage the location backlog regularly to prioritize the shipping and receiving schedule. + Label and package materials for shipment in cardboard boxes and wooden crates as required to safely ship packages to customers. + Prepare shipping labels via UPS and FedEx, affixes shipping labels on packed cartons + Communicate to the Manager or Planner any problems preventing orders from shipping. + Troubleshoot shipping and receiving issues and escalate to manager as needed. + Document and maintain special customer label/ packaging requirements. + Maintain inventory by performing cycle counts regularly and investigate any inventory variances for accuracy, to identify the root cause, and to keep shipments on time. Responsible for implementing corrective measures and avoid further discrepancy. + Provide support to areas as needed to meet or exceed company output targets. + Complete all internal and external departmental documentation accurately and on time to meet company and client standards. + *Forklift training is required within 6 months of start date. * Must be certified in DOT and IATA training or willing to complete training within 6 months of hire date for Woburn location + Communicate between departments to notify leaders and engineers to problem solve issues. + Work cross functionally to support company LEAN and High-Performance team objectives by training others in shipping through shadowing and supporting team culture objectives. + Ensure compliance of all Company policies, safety, 5s and training procedures and wear assigned PPE for designated areas • U.S. Citizenship or have U.S. Permanent Resident Status required. • GED or High School Diploma required. • 4+ years of shipping experience required. • Experience working with software relative to shipping and packaging preferred. • Ability to work independently and within a team to meet sensitive deadlines required. • Ability to perform basic math, reading, writing and computer skills such as basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and use of Microsoft Office suite required. • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English required. • Ability to stand for long durations up to 8 hours, and lift and or move up to 40 lbs.
