Danfoss in Jackson, Michigan is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our Shipping and Receiving team.  This is a 1st Shift position.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Review shipping floor for status Daily safety Checks Review and address subcontract area Package in small, medium, large areas Routing of the Fedex and UPS stations Closing orders for invoice Process International shipments for the small/medium packaging areas Load Trucks for Shipments that are outgoing Give support to the Senior Shipper, Receiving and Stockroom areas as requested or other duties as assigned by Supervisor. 

This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR. ITAR/EAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Background and Skills

Basic Qualifications:

 

High School Diploma/GED Must be able to learn the external shipping company software and equipment, proven computer skills. Must be capable in basic math and reading skills and to use ruler and square. Ability to lift or move heavy weight material in difficult work positions (Up to 30 lbs. or attain assistance with heavier material). No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of Jackson, Michigan will be considered.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

           

One-year shipping/material handling experience. One-year manufacturing experience. Fork lift experience Overhead crane experience Ready to Make a Difference?
