PPG has an exciting opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor at our Kennesaw, GA location. In this on-site role with PPG Aerospace, you’ll lead daily operations of the Shipping and Receiving Departments, with a focus on warehouse flow, team leadership, and continuous improvement. You’ll report directly to the Operations Manager and help ensure safe, efficient operations that support PPG’s sales and delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise daily operations of the Shipping DepartmentOversee drivers, trucks, and weekly delivery schedulesEnsure department goals are met with safety, quality, and procedural standardsDirect workflow, train employees, and ensure appropriate staffing levelsCoordinate material and equipment needs for shipping and receiving activitiesLead Lean initiatives to drive process improvements and reduce wasteMonitor daily operations to maintain schedule adherence and safe practicesHire, train, develop, and retain qualified team membersLead daily team activities by setting clear expectations, communicating effectively, and managing multiple priorities to meet operational goalsApply basic math skills to perform standard and metric conversions accurately in daily operations

Qualifications

Four (4) years in a lead or supervisory role within shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations requiredExperience using QAD or similar ERP system preferredForklift certification and DOT/IATA/IMDG experience a plus, but not requiredMust be able to wear appropriate PPEInternal candidates must have passed the PPG Supervisory AssessmentHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED) requiredMust be a U.S. Citizen
