Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Westlake Village, CA)
**Job Description:** JOB SUMMARY: The Shipping / Receiving Clerk prepares goods for shipment, receives, and unpacks incoming shipments, completes shipping and receiving reports, and inputs data for purposes of inventory control. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision ESSENTIAL DUTIES: · Receives, unpacks, verifies, and records all incoming materials and supplies · Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies · Maintain a clean, neat shipping/receiving area · Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries · Sort and stocks receivables. · Reports damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement, and record-keeping purposes · Distributes incoming materials, AR mails, supplies and mail to designated department(s) · Records accurate shipment data and perform data entry of inventory product transactions, including but not limited to receiving (outside processing jobs, receiving non-inventory and inventory items), job orders, material transfers, and inventory adjustments · Pack and ship products in a timely and efficient manner · Distributes inventory as directed to other departments, while keeping warehouse organized · Complete shipping reports/logs · Fill/process Job Order pick lists per written procedures · Participates in annual physical inventories · Perform other job duties, errands or special projects as assigned by manager **Job Requirements:** MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience shipping / receiving or inventory experience. Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record. Must have at least 2 years of SAP experience. PREFERREDEXPERIENCE: Forklift certification OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: 1. Strong organizations skills 2. Good interpersonal skills 3. Ability to read, understand and retain procedures and company documents 4. Ability to follow written and oral directions 5. Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines **Target Market Salary Range:** Actual compensation packages take into account a wide range of factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to geographic location; skill sets; relevant education and certifications; depth of experience; performance; and other business and organizational needs.
