Based in Singapore, the Shipping Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of various worldwide shipments in Emerson Singapore - Global Customer Distribution Center (GCDC). The role will also ensure all shipments are delivered on time by working closely with customer service team and freight forwarders, and shall investigate shipment related complaints and provide the corrective and preventive actions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Ensures all urgent orders in the business system are picked and packed ready for shipment by the packing team. Works with Packing staff to ensure orders are pack according to the shipment cut-off timing. Checks Orders according to ITC requirements. Prepares shipping documents accordingly to company and country requirements. Ensures products are ship correctly to their respective country of destination. Deals with customer queries relating to shipping delays and documents discrepancy. General housekeeping ensuring the work areas are free from all unwanted materials or foreign objects. Ensures filing of documents according to company document retention policy. Leads and perform regular inspection to ensure the Shipping & Logistics processes adhere to procedures, also mapped and approved in the GCDC Quality Management System at all times. Tracks and monitors shipment status (import and export). Supports administrative functions in GCDC. Ensures company safety & security standard are followed. Perform any assignment being assigned by the Shipping Lead in related Shipping & Transportation activities. Ensures compliance of workplace safety rules, including but not limited to the usage of a personal protective equipment, if provided to you, while working; not involve in any unsafe or negligent act that may endanger peers or oneself; reporting unsafe work conditions and providing suggestions to improve safety/ health at work, as needed. For This Role, You Will Need: Minimum 3 years’ experience within a computerized Distribution Centre Environment. Knowledge of freight management and preparing of shipping documents. Good written and verbal communication skills. Methodical / structured way of working. Capable of organizing work/tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word & Excel. Familiar with Inco Terms. Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Diploma in Business, Logistics or related field. Experience within a distribution center is an advantage. Experience using Microsoft Access, TRAX, OTM and Power BI will be an advantage.
