**Shipping Administrative Assistant** PeopleReady of Menomonie, WI is now hiring Shipping Administrative Assistants in Cumberland, WI! **Pay Rate:** _The pay rate for this job is $20 - $24 / hour*_ **What you'll be doing as a Shipping Administrative Assistant:** + Shipping Documentation & Coordination + Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and export documentation + Maintain accurate shipment records and logs + Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries + Track shipments and update internal systems with status changes + Communication & Customer Service + Communicate with customers, vendors, and logistics partners regarding shipments + Resolve delivery issues or delays by coordinating with relevant parties + Respond to emails, phone calls, and inquiries related to shipping + Inventory & Supply Chain Support + Assist in maintaining inventory records and ensuring adequate shipping supplies + Monitor incoming and outgoing shipments and reconcile discrepancies + Support warehouse staff with administrative needs + Data Entry & Reporting + Input shipping and receiving data into internal databases or ERP systems + Generate reports on shipping activity, delivery timelines, and cost efficiency + Help track performance metrics and shipping KPIs + Compliance & Process Management + Ensure shipping procedures comply with company policies and regulatory requirements + Maintain up-to-date knowledge of shipping regulations (e.g., DOT, international customs) + Support audits by preparing required shipping and administrative documentation + General Office Support + Order office supplies for the department + Assist with filing, scanning, and organizing digital and paper records + Provide administrative support to the Shipping Manager and other team members as needed **Available shifts:** Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day) **Job requirements:** + High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification is a plus + 1-3 years of administrative experience; shipping/logistics or warehouse environment preferred + Experience with shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager) is a plus + Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is helpful + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines + Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), especially for coordinating with vendors, customers, and carriers + Attention to detail in handling shipping documents, data entry, and scheduling + Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) + Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment + Basic understanding of shipping/logistics processes and terminology + Familiarity with domestic and international shipping documentation is a plus + Awareness of compliance standards (e.g., DOT, OSHA, export regulations) preferred + Dependable and punctual + Ability to lift or move boxes and packages occasionally (if supporting warehouse operations) + Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and demands **Ready to take control of the way you work?** Complete our application to join the PeopleReady team today. *Hourly pay rates are a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law.
