Quanex is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Associate  to join our team located in Zanesville, OH.

As a Shipping/Receiving Associate  you are responsible to prepare shipments and receive incoming materials.

4-day work week! Hourly wage for this position is $21.00 per hour. Small facility with resources and support of a large organization.

 

What Success Looks Like:

Using information in shippers package, prepare all product for shipment. This includes plastic and steel BILCO products in LTL/FTL shipments, and contract molding orders. Stage all orders by carrier per the shipping schedule. Safely load trucks with product in such a way as to prevent damage to product, while optimizing the available cubic capacity of the truck. Ticket products accurately into the computer system. Confirm that all products are accounted for in the system and that the load matched the order. Complete all shipping documentation accurately, ensure that carrier has signed the bill of lading, and return paperwork to supervisor each day. Ship parts orders or other small items via UPS or FedEx Ground. Input necessary data, print labels or other documentation according to UPS and FedEx process. Unload incoming material from vendors, check count, part number or description against purchase order or Kanban card, and initial and date packing list. Contact Buyer/Planner or supervisor if any discrepancies are noted. Enter data input to receive material into the computer inventory. Move material into established inventory area once Kanban cards have been placed on parts. Actively participate in "5S" procedures and all Continuous Improvement efforts. Document daily task performed on "5s" task board. Manage time and workload during the day.

 

Your Credentials:

High school diploma or equivalent Up to and including 6 months of experience in shipping/receiving.

The salary for this position is $21.00 per hour with bonus potential.
