Shipper/Packer Lead

 STGi is currently seeking candidates to work as Shipper/Packer Lead to support a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility. The CMOP utilizes a combination of automated and manual procedures to prepare and dispense Over the Counter (OTC) and legend drug prescriptions, controlled substance prescriptions, bulk type prescriptions, and medical/surgical products directly by mail to patients. The nature of services includes the operation and support of automated and manual filling equipment, and the preparation of prescription orders for mail-out dispensing.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

Supervisory tasks include day to day administration of assigned operational area (production floor) and to coordinate activities with other productions areas. Orient new contract technicians and assist with the evaluating performance. Scanning prescription barcodes. Placing the prescription into the proper sized mailing envelope or box. Placing patient refill documents and return address label into the package. Adding packing material to protect the contents from leakage or damage. Closing and sealing the container. Placing an address label on the package and sending the completed order to the manifesting area. Maintaining stock and a clean work area. Other duties as assigned
