**Hiring for a Shipper - Vancouver, BC** Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Shipper in a thriving warehouse that forms an integral part of our production floor. This role requires proficiency in using the Epicor ERP system and involves working closely with another team member who will report to you. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving deliveries, entering them into our system, arranging shipments, and preparing various shipping documents. You will also assemble containers, pack goods, and be involved in the loading and unloading of trucks. Responsibilities + Receive deliveries and accurately enter them into the Epicor ERP system. + Arrange shipments and prepare bills of lading, customs forms, and invoices. + Assemble containers and crates as needed, recording contents manually or by computer. + Pack goods for shipment and load/unload goods from trucks. + Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents. + Unpack, code, and route goods to appropriate storage areas. + Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to transport and store goods. Essential Skills + Strong computer skills with mandatory previous ERP usage experience. + At least 2 years of experience in shipping. + Ability to lift 50 lbs frequently. + Forklift experience with a valid sit-down counterbalance ticket. + Excellent communication skills with proficiency in reading and writing English. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred. + More than 3 years of experience operating a forklift. + Enjoys working on varied tasks rather than repetitive ones. + Flexible, critical thinker with a strong initiative. + Personable and able to work independently. Work Environment The warehouse is located in a new, clean industrial space that is still being optimized for production. While there are sounds of machines operating, the environment remains relatively quiet and room temperature is maintained. The air-conditioned lunch/break room offers a comfortable space for breaks. You will work within a team of 32 in production and 45 in operations. The standard shift is 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with flexibility for exceptional candidates. Breaks include two 15-minute breaks and one 30-minute break.
